We stand behind our automatic roller shades. Every shade comes with a 2-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects and motor performance under normal residential use.

What's Covered

Motors & Controls:
  • Motor malfunctions or failures
  • Control system defects (remote, app connectivity)
  • Battery charging issues
Fabrics & Hardware:
  • Fabric defects (tears, discoloration, premature fading)
  • Mounting bracket failures
  • Hardware component defects
Shipping Damage:
  • Damage that occurs during transit to your home
  • Must be reported within 30 days of delivery with photos
When you have a valid warranty claim, we'll repair or replace the defective product at no charge. We prefer fixing things when possible because we love our shades and want them working perfectly in your home.

What's NOT Covered

User-Related Issues:

  • Damage from improper installation (please follow our instructions!)
  • Accidental damage (pets, children, that ill-fated attempt to swing from the shade)
  • Modifications or alterations made to the shade
  • Incorrect cleaning methods (each fabric has preferences)

Environmental Factors:

  • Extreme humidity or temperature exposure
  • Sun fading beyond normal expectations
  • Natural disasters or severe weather damage
  • Salt air exposure (ocean views are beautiful, but tough on mechanisms)

Normal Wear & Tear:

  • Natural color changes over time (even the best fabrics age gracefully)
  • Minor operational changes after extended use
  • Components that naturally wear with regular operation

Important Notes:

  • Warranty applies only to original purchaser (non-transferable)
  • Products must be used for normal residential purposes
  • Warranty begins on date of purchase, not installation date

How to File & Warranty Services

Making a Warranty Claim:

Step 1: Contact Us Email support@backinfive.com within the warranty period with:

  • Your order number and purchase date
  • Clear description of the issue
  • Photos or videos showing the problem
  • Any error messages or unusual behaviors

Step 2: We Respond We'll get back to you within 2-3 business days with next steps, which might include:

  • Troubleshooting guidance (sometimes it's a quick fix!)
  • Replacement part shipment
  • Complete product replacement
  • Return authorization if needed

Step 3: Resolution We aim to resolve warranty issues within 7-10 business days depending on whether repair or replacement is needed.

Warranty Service: We'll provide a prepaid label if the product needs to be returned.
